Resplendent Scarf

I had been thinking about some of my patterns knit on the bias, like Passerine and Boothbay. For me, it’s so much more interesting to add that increase at the start of the row and the decrease at the end of the row than to….not and simply knit a rectangle. I know I’m not the only one that feels that way. So I decided to design another on-the-bias scarf/stole, this one in collaboration with Leading Men Fiber Arts. Say hello to Resplendent.

Resplendent is a scarf knit on the bias featuring my favorite combination - garter stitch and lace. Five mini skeins of Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stopper are paired with neutral skein to make a splendid accessory to wear any time of year.

Besides the yarn, here’s the remaining supplies you’ll need for your scarf:

• US Size 4 [3.5mm] circular needle, 16" [40cm] or longer, or size needed to obtain gauge

• Small scissors

• Tapestry needle

• Blocking supplies

Like many of my patterns, you can customize this one pretty easily. The charts are interchangeable, and you can make the scarf wider by adding stitches in increments of 8 stitches (add 8, 16, 24, etc. stitches to the cast on number). Remember, customizing the pattern will affect the finished size and the amount of yarn required to finish the scarf.
